Certificate Verification

1. Purpose of Certificate Verification

The certificate verification facility is intended to help students, employers, institutions, organizations and other authorized persons check certificate information against the applicable official records of GCC Education Academy.

Verification is intended to reduce the risk of relying on altered, fraudulent, duplicated or otherwise unauthorized academic documents.

2. How to Verify a Certificate

To verify a certificate, the user should enter the certificate number exactly as displayed on the document.

3. Certificate Information

Depending on the certificate and available records, the verification result may contain information such as:

• Certificate number.
• Student or candidate name.
• Course or programme name.
• Issue or completion information.
• Applicable academic details.
• Verification status.

The information displayed may vary depending on the type of certificate and the records available in the verification system.

4. Valid Certificate

A certificate may be considered verified when the certificate number is found in the applicable official records and the information returned by the verification system reasonably corresponds with the certificate presented.

5. Invalid or Unverified Certificate

A certificate may not be verified if the certificate number cannot be found, the information does not correspond with the applicable records, the record is unavailable or the document requires further review.

6. Certificate Information Mismatch

If the certificate number is found but the name, course, date, identification information or other material details do not match the certificate presented, the document should be treated as requiring further verification.

Users should not alter the certificate or attempt to manually correct official records.

Any suspected discrepancy should be reported through the official contact channel.

7. Fake, Forged or Altered Certificates

Creating, modifying, forging, selling, distributing or knowingly using a fake or unauthorized certificate is prohibited.

Examples of suspected misuse may include:

• Changing a student's name.
• Changing course or qualification details.
• Changing marks or grades.
• Changing certificate dates.
• Using another person's certificate.
• Creating a certificate without authorization.
• Using a certificate with altered information.

8. Student Responsibility

Students are responsible for ensuring that the personal and academic information submitted during registration and certificate processing is accurate.

Students should immediately report any suspected error in their certificate information through the appropriate official channel.

Students should also keep their original academic documents secure and should not knowingly permit unauthorized persons to use them.

9. Employer & Institutional Verification

Employers, educational institutions, government organizations and other authorized entities may use the official verification process to check certificate information where appropriate.

Organizations should compare the certificate presented to them with the information returned by the official verification system.

Where significant discrepancies are identified, the organization should seek clarification before relying on the document.

10. Privacy & Personal Information

Certificate verification may involve displaying limited information necessary to determine whether a certificate corresponds with an official record.

The Academy may limit the information displayed publicly in order to reduce unnecessary disclosure of personal information.

Personal information should be handled in accordance with the applicable Privacy Policy and applicable law.

11. Verification System Availability

Reasonable efforts may be made to keep the verification service available. However, temporary interruptions may occur due to maintenance, technical problems, network issues, system upgrades or circumstances beyond reasonable control.

A temporary inability to retrieve a record should not automatically be interpreted as proof that a certificate is fraudulent.

In such circumstances, users should contact the Academy for further verification.

12. Verification Limitations

Certificate verification confirms the correspondence of available certificate information with applicable Academy records. It should not automatically be interpreted as a determination of every legal, regulatory, professional or employment-related consequence of the qualification.

Recognition, equivalency, eligibility for employment, professional licensing or admission may depend on requirements imposed by the relevant authority or organization.

13. Unauthorized Use of Verification Information

Information obtained through the certificate verification facility should not be misused, manipulated or presented in a misleading manner.

• Do not alter verification results.
• Do not impersonate another student.
• Do not use records for fraudulent purposes.
• Do not attempt unauthorized system access.
• Do not scrape or misuse personal information.

14. Changes to Verification Service

GCC Education Academy may update, modify, improve, suspend or discontinue parts of the certificate verification service where reasonably required.

Verification fields, displayed information, procedures and technical functionality may therefore change from time to time.

15. Certificate Verification Support

If you are unable to verify a certificate, find an incorrect record, identify a mismatch or suspect certificate fraud, please contact GCC Education Academy through an official communication channel.
